Furthermore, Alcaraz overcame some struggles in the opening set before pulling off a 7-6(5), 6-2, 6-2 victory over Australian Aleksandar Vukic.
“I’m feeling similar…obviously, I’m getting better and better. Hopefully, if I keep winning, I’m going to find the same level as the final last year,” Alcaraz said.

GAUFF ADVANCES AS OSAKA EXITS
Gauff also advanced to the next round after defeating qualifier Anca Todoni, 6-2, 6-1, on No.1 Court.
The venue was the same court where Gauff beat Venus Williams when she made her Wimbledon debut at 15 years old in 2019.
“This is the court where I first started here at Wimbledon. Court 1 is always a special place for me to play on,” Gauff said.
Gauff will next face British qualifier Sonay Kartel, who ousted Frenchwoman Clara Burel, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3.
However, luck was not on Osaka’s side after she absorbed a 6-4, 6-1 loss to American Emma Navarro.
