The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga might conclude sooner rather than later.
According to French media outlet Sports Zone, Mbappe’s representative and Real Madrid have reached an “agreement in principle.”
Real Madrid have offered the 25-year-old the No.10 kit that Luka Modric currently holds.
However, the report also stated that Mbappé wants to hear the counter-offer from Paris Saint-Germain before officially signing with Real Madrid.
The Frenchman’s recent contract with PSG will expire in June, making him a highly-touted free agent.
Despite gravitating towards Real Madrid, the Ligue 1 team is willing to pay the superstar striker €400 million for four years.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner joined PSG from Monaco on loan in 2017.
The year-long transfer saga began when Mbappe decided not to renew his contract last year.
Mbappe’s former superstar teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar have left PSG to sign with Inter Miami and Al Halil FC, respectively.
It seems that Mbappe only needs a pen and paper to make it official with Real Madrid.
