Novak Djokovic gets a tough Australian Open route on Thursday after he drew Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev on the same side.

DJOKOVIC GETS TOUGH ROUTE TO RECLAIM AUSTRALIAN OPEN TITLE

The Italian and Alcaraz shared the four majors by winning two titles each last year.

SABALENKA GETS ZHENG, ANDREEVA IN SAME DRAW, DRAWS STEPHENS IN FIRST ROUND

Furthermore, Aryna Sabalenka got China’s Zheng Qinwen and Mira Andreeva in the same draw

Moreover, the Belarussian defending women’s champion drew 2017 US Open champion Slone Stephens in an early first round challenge.

Sabalenka defeated Zheng in the final last year.

The world No.1 could also be tested by rising 17-year-old star Andreeva on her side of the draw.

“I hope that I can keep doing what I’m doing here in Australia,” she said after the draw ceremony on Thursday.

Meanwhile, world No.2 Iga Swiatek and 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina are on Sabalenka’s opposite side of the draw.
