ICC named New Zealand batter Rachin Ravindra as ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year for 2023.
Rachin’s performance stood out during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, amassing 578 runs — the most by anyone making their World Cup debut.

Most importantly, the 24-year-old played a key part in New Zealand’s return to the semifinals.
The left-hander accumulated 820 runs at an average of 41 and a strike rate of 108.03.
He edged out South Africa pacer Gerald Coetzee, Sri Lanka speedster Dilshan Madushanka, and India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Rachin was honored to be recognized by the ICC for his remarkable performances as an emerging cricketer.
“It’s obviously a very special feeling. Whenever you get recognized by the ICC for something it is always special,” he said.
“Reflecting back, it has been a pretty whirlwind last year, and having the opportunity to play so much cricket in so many different environments has been very special.”
