Ndicka finally discharged

Ndicka, 24, collapsed off the ball in the 72nd minute at the Bluenergy Stadium, with both teams tied at 1-1.

The Ivory Coast international was conscious but visibly in pain while being stretchered off the field.

Game referee Luca Pairetto decided to suspend the match after lengthy talks with both squads.

Roma later said he was “feeling better,” and his teammates visited him in the hospital.

“First and second-level cardiological tests were administered that were negative for cardiac pathologies”.

“In light of the last tests undergone this morning, the medical situation is compatible with a thoracic trauma with minimal left pneumothorax”.

“The player was discharged and will undergo additional tests in Rome”.

Roma thanked the referee and the entire people at the Udinse stadium for their sportsmanship.

“In those frantic minutes of apprehension, we all together demonstrated sports values and placed protecting life in first place,” Roma added.

There is no announcement yet on when the game will be resumed.

Roma will face AC Milan on Thursday in the second leg of the Europa League quarterfinals.
