1st T20 Predictions: India vs Sri Lanka

India and Sri Lanka will lock horns in the 1st T20I of Sri Lanka tour of India, 2023 on Tuesday, 3 January 2023, at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

India played their last series against New Zealand away from home which they won comfortably by 1-0.

Hardik Pandya will captain the Indian side which will be a young, new-look side.

Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan might open the innings while Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya will form the middle order.

Deepak Hooda and Washington Sundar could form the spinning all-rounder duo who can be relieved to choke up the runs and also hit the big shots when needed.

Axar Patel, who had a forgettable T20 World Cup might miss out.

For Sri Lanka, this will be the first T20I assignment for the Lankans after the T20 World Cup.
