Ibrahimovic is immune to “criticism”
The former AC Milan star has faced many questions about his responsibilities with the club.
Milan’s owners, RedBird Capital, announced Ibrahimovic’s return to the club last December as a senior advisor.
The Sweden international emphasized that he takes his role as the team’s advisor seriously and insisted that nothing bothers him.
“Criticism is part of the job, the important thing is only Milan,” Ibrahimovic said ahead of their Milan derby.
“I cannot make jokes, because not everyone understands them. I work, it is tough work and I like it, I am improving.”
“The important thing is the team, not me. We are overcoming this moment, but personally nothing disturbs me. I played for 25 years with criticism, I continue what I am doing and it just fires me up more.”
Ibrahimovic assures Fonseca’s job as manager
AC Milan emerged victorious in their derby clash against Inter Milan, winning 2-1 on Sunday.
Before the victory, manager Paulo Fonseca was already under pressure following a rough start to the season.
However, Ibrahimovic assured that Fonseca’s job is safe.
“Absolutely not, nobody talked about any other coaches and the focus is only on this game,” he said.
