Inter Miami signed Alba
Inter Miami have signed another Barcelona legend, with Jordi Alba joining Messi and Busquets in South Florida.
The club announced the news on Thursday afternoon, just over 24 hours ahead of Messi’s highly-anticipated debut in the MLS Leagues Cup.
This is the second great news for the Spanish star within days, as Alba’s wife gave birth to the pair’s third child just yesterday.
Previous reports claimed that may have been one of the reasons for the announcement being delayed.
Messi and Busquets were unveiled last weekend
Messi and Busquets were unveiled by the team in a glitzy ceremony at their DRV-PNK Stadium on Sunday night, and now Alba is the next man through the door.
He joins on a free transfer, having terminated his Barcelona contract by mutual agreement in May – a year before his deal officially ended.
The trio spent years together at Barca from 2012 to 2021, with Messi being the first to depart and join Ligue 1 giants Paris Saing-Germain.
Alba is a serial winner
Alba won everything under different levels.
While at the Nou Camp, Alba won 18 club trophies and the European Championship and Nations League with Spain at the international level.
Before his official announcement, Alba was included in Inter Miami’s Leagues Cup roster – but has yet to land in the US and is unlikely to play on Friday night.
