Near-death experience
Pant sustained a ligament tear in his right knee and two cuts on his forehead.
“First time in my life, I felt like my time in this world is up,” Pant said on the Star Sports series ‘Believe’.
“During the accident, I was aware of the wounds, but I was lucky as it could have been even more serious. I was feeling that someone saved me.”
“I asked the doctor how long will it take for me to recover, and he said it would take 16-18 months. I knew I had to work hard to cut this recovery time.”
IPL Return
The left-handed batter missed all 2023 major tournaments like the Indian Premier League and the ODI World Cup.
Fortunately, there is a chance that Pant will return this IPL 2024 season for the Delhi Capitals.
He was even part of the Delhi Capitals group at the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai.
